Built by runners.
STRIDD was built from a simple idea: the best training science should be free. Ten elite methodologies, personalised pace zones, and periodised plans — accessible to every runner, everywhere.
Why we built STRIDD
The best training methodologies — Daniels VDOT, Lydiard base building, Norwegian double threshold — are published and proven. But most runners still train by feel or follow generic plans. STRIDD bridges that gap with a free, instant plan generator grounded in exercise physiology.
How the engine works
STRIDD uses Riegel race-prediction formulas and Daniels VDOT pace tables to derive seven personalised training zones from your recent race performance. The engine applies periodisation — base, build, peak, taper — calibrated to your fitness, weekly volume, and target distance.
Ten methodologies, one builder
From the aerobic-first philosophy of Arthur Lydiard to the double-threshold sessions of Norwegian elite training, STRIDD implements ten distinct coaching systems. Each methodology has a unique session mix, volume curve, and intensity distribution — but all are built on the same validated pace science.
Free forever, no login
STRIDD does not require an account, store personal data, or charge a subscription. Your training plan is generated in your browser and stays there. Export to PDF, spreadsheet, or calendar — then close the tab. We believe precision training science should be accessible to everyone.
The science behind the paces
Every pace zone in STRIDD is derived from your VDOT equivalent — a single number representing your current aerobic capacity. From recovery jogs to VO2max intervals, each session targets a specific physiological adaptation. No junk miles, no guesswork.
